Weapons of LOVE

Hello! We recently promoted our music video Weapons of Love. I wrote the song quite a few years ago after watching the news about a Palestinian suicide bomber who blew himself up in Israel and killed quite a few innocent Jewish people. Having relatives in Israel, this news greatly saddened me and I turned to the piano to express my feelings. I wrote the song very quickly.

Cyndie, my wife, plays piano. David Sinclair did the lead guitar. Gino Gerussi is on drums and Miles Foxx Hill plays bass. Mixed and mastered by Commodore Barret. The current war in Israel that Hamas started made me want to reach out to the Jewish people at this challenging time with a message of love, hope and peace. The entire world needs more love and peace. You can watch the video here: Weapons of Love

Peace and  LOVE!

Happy Birthday to Cyndie

Happy birthday to my beloved Cyndie! She is such a blessing in my life! We have been together 15 years! We first met in Derek Mason's recording studio in Vancouver. He set us up! She joined our band Myztery right after we met, singing and playing keyboards. Today is also the feast day of St.Catherine of Sienna, my patron saint in the Missionaries of Merciful Love.

We plan to record more music in our studio this evening and maybe watch a movie on the life of St. Catherine of Sienna. I am also writing a new book that I hope to finish in a month. I also plan to make a course based on it that will have text, audio and video.  I plan to make an audio book and an ebook as well. Lot's of plans!

We are re-uploading our Myztery albums to TuneCore and they will be in all kinds of digital stores and platforms, including Spotify and Apple music etc. I  hope we are listed as an artist, i.e, as Myztery, and not fall into a solo artist's albums who is also called Myztery.

Have a great day!

Radical Shifts - Memoir of Pete Mason

Cyndie and I are editing my memoir, which is now called Radical Shifts.  I am enjoying the writing process and seeing how God has led me in my vocation to a life of merciful love.  We  are planning to publish the book on February 22, 2019, the feast of the Chair of St. Peter, Apostle.  It will be a paperback and e-book and audio book.

The photo above will be the cover photo.  It was taken in Penetanguishene, Ontario.  I am holding a wood cross I made from the site where the Canadian martyrs died for their faith.  Cyndie's dad lives there and many of her relatives, aunts and uncles and cousins.  I have created a new personal website at www.petemason.org  There you can read my testimony and get my free e-book Spiritual Weapons and also the ebook Prayer for the Renewal of the Church.

I will soon be recording the first song for our Blood and Water album.  I play the song on classical guitar.  We will use our home studio to save on recording costs.  The title of the first song is Consuming Fire.  Our God is a consuming fire, Scripture says.  The song also has the line "God is love."  We are also building a new website for Cyndie but it is not up and running yet.  We have a new Director for the MML (Missionaries of Merciful Love) in Nigeria:   Fr. Chris Princewill.  He will help organize the inquirers, novices and members of the MML in that part of the world.

Have a great day!
